Portland allocates $106M in unspent housing funds after months of debate, public frustration (KPTV)

“The decision came after months of debate among councilors over where to allocate the money. The delays caused frustration among the public and city leaders.

About $56 million will go toward affordable housing, rental assistance, eviction defense and other housing components.

Nearly $9 million will go to the city’s general fund, which covers core services including police, fire, parks and community development.”
