Florida company completes acquisition of bankrupt Seattle e-bike maker (PBJ)

“Rad Power raised more than $300 million across two funding rounds in 2021, hitting a $1.65 billion valuation. It filed for bankruptcy in December last year

Life EV in January put in the highest bid to acquire Rad Power, a $13.3 million deal that jumped to $14.9 million with the assumption of liabilities. Rad Power hit a $1.65 billion valuation in 2021 before its downfall that led to a December bankruptcy filing.

According to the December bankruptcy filing, Rad Power had $72.7 million in liabilities and $32.1 million in assets. The company generated $63.3 million in revenue in 2025, after accruing $103.8 million in all of 2024 and $129.8 million in 2023. The largest debt was tariffs to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, an $8.4 million sum.”
