“In 2022, Drazan faced off against Democrat Tina Kotek in the governor’s race, and early returns Tuesday night show she’s on her way to square off against Kotek again.

Drazan led a crowded field of Republican governor candidates with over 43% of the vote, prompting The Associated Press to declare her the winner of her party’s nomination.
State Rep. Ed Diehl, a Republican from Scio, was currently second with about 30% of the vote. Former Portland Trail Blazer Chris Dudley was third with about 16%.”

Portland-Based Providence Health Plan To Stop Offering Most Insurance Plans At End of Year (WW)

“The Providence Health Plan said Wednesday that it would stop offering most of its insurance products by the year’s end, heralding the near-complete dissolution of a longtime stalwart of Oregon’s private health insurance marketplace.
Wexler emphasized that there would be no immediate change for those who get health benefits through the Providence Health Plan—a population which includes about 350,000 Oregonians.
Wexler said the PHP would be stepping away from essentially its entire commercial health insurance business. This constitute’s the plan’s main membership base, the people who get Providence benefits through, say, an employer or on Healthcare.gov.”
